Reliable message delivery is a key value proposition of Tyro Connect and the Location API helps App partners be confident that messages destined for the POS will arrive when expected. This first release of the Location API offers App Partners the chance to tap into a 'Heartbeat' that Tyro Connect maintains with every POS we are connected to.

For best results when sending a message such as a food order or a booking to a particular POS location, query the Location API for that location and ensure that the POS is online before sending the message. We have developed the API in such as way that responses are returned quickly so that it does not overly impact the customer experience.

We strongly recommend the use of this API to help ensure the optimal customer experience.
