Refund Password
A mandatory 6 digit refund password must be set by your POS administrators before refunds can be processed. The provided SDK admin settings functionality is used to set the refund password. Once set, the password will be prompted before every refund. If your POS user incorrectly enters the password, they will have a certain number of attempts until they are locked out for a fixed length of time. The refund password can be changed at any time via the admin settings.
Password requirements
- Must be 6 digits
- Cannot be sequential e.g. 123456
- Cannot be repeating e.g. 111111
Password Retention
The refund password must be set per device and will remain on the device until application uninstall.
Matched or Unmatched Refunds
Matched or Unmatched refunds are set at the Merchant ID level and is configured agnostic to the SDK.
