Refund Passcode

A mandatory 6 digit refund passcode must be set by your POS administrators before refunds can be processed. The provided SDK admin settings functionality is used to set the refund passcode. Once set, the passcode will be prompted before every refund. If your POS user incorrectly enters the passcode, they will have a certain number of attempts until they are locked out for a fixed length of time. The refund passcode can be changed at any time via the admin settings.

Passcode requirements

  • Must be 6 digits
  • Cannot be sequential e.g. 123456
  • Cannot be repeating e.g. 111111

Passcode Retention

The refund passcode must be set per device and will remain on the device until application uninstall.

Matched or Unmatched Refunds

Matched or Unmatched refunds are set at the Merchant ID level and is configured agnostic to the SDK.
