Embedded Payments on Android

Before you start
Device compatibility
Embedded Payments on Android requires an Android device with:
- NFC capability
- Android 11.0 or above
- Must have Google Mobile Services and certified with CTS
- Online capability
Supported devices
There are hundreds of devices that are compatible with the Embedded Payments functionality for Android. However, we have provided a short list of five devices with varying price ranges that would be compatible with this functionality. If your intended device is not listed we recommend researching whether the device has NFC capability and supports Android 11 and up.

Account authorisation
You must implement account authorisation in your POS interface and server, thereby establishing a trusted link to your Tyro merchant account.

App authentication
You must implement authentication inside your App before integration of the Tyro Embedded Payments SDK.
